What is the PF contribution rate in India?

The PF (Provident Fund) contribution rate in India is 12% from the employee and 12% from the employer, both calculated on basic wages + dearness allowance. The employer’s 12% is split into EPF (3.67%), EPS (8.33%, capped at ₹1,250/month), and employers additionally pay 0.5% EDLI premium and 0.5% administrative charges. The statutory PF wage ceiling is ₹15,000/month.

How can I calculate ESI for my employees?

ESI is calculated on gross monthly salary for employees earning up to ₹21,000/month. Employee contribution = 0.75% of gross salary. Employer contribution = 3.25% of gross salary. For example, an employee earning ₹15,000 gross per month: employee ESI = ₹112.50, employer ESI = ₹487.50, total ESI = ₹600/month. Employees earning above ₹21,000/month are not covered under ESI.
