Pandemic
It seems like a new normal, the most common word used in the past two years but thankfully, situations are a little better and the post-pandemic period is here, we are well known about the effects of COVID-19 by now. The pandemic has taught us many valuable lessons, compassion, gratitude, teamwork, and whatnot. Remembering some of the lessons that we learned and exactly how HR managers survived during these hard times of epidemics.
Live meetings were my favorite meeting spot
Google Meet and zoom meetings was the only meeting spots back in the lockdown. As a leader, it is obvious that he must lead the entire team with compassion and honesty. We all were suffering, it is nice to be kinder to each other during tough times. As there were no face-to-face interactions, leaders ensured high-quality interactions and brought a beam of energy to every meeting.

Employees engagement with EZHRM
During these crises the biggest challenge for HR managers was how to keep the workforce motivated, productive & engaged. A year back and even today when the pandemic is here with us, we observed the need for emotional well-being along with physical well-being. Here’s when EZHRM rescued us again with its ESS portal!
Employees were allowed to add a genuine reason and take a rest to get back to work with a recharged battery. Employees appreciated the move and applied their work day-offs with reasons like “mentally exhausted, need a break”. This is how many of the organizations survived through the pandemic and maintained employees’ productivity.
Mastered work from home
We found many of the employees working remotely for the very first time, which resulted in reevaluating their strategies and plans for the future to share their contribution to organizational growth. With WFH, the role of HR has become more critical than ever before because face-to-face interactions have been eliminated, employees onboarding got delayed, employees payroll issues took way too long to be addressed but thanks to the compatible HRM software that assisted HR on every root cause.
We believe in transparency!
Many of our struggles end with transparency as an organization. Transparency between the organization and the employees to boost their productivity and make them feel wanted. That is the reason we ensure employees’ engagement with the minor help of the EZHRM ESS portal, it serves many benefits and builds the required transparency between the organization and the employees. The ESS portal also helped reduce the unnecessary workload on HR as employees can access their HR-related tasks by themselves and contact in case of trouble.
Last, but perhaps most important – all of us have learned to count our blessings, find ways to help each other, and developed a sense of gratitude in our lives with this pandemic.
